Synopsis

Tap Advisor is a concept that evolved as a result of the pain points users experience when unboxing a new phone, according to research, most people skip setup wizards and either contact customer support or visit an Orange shop to setup their device.

In a nutshell, the idea is to replace paper manuals with a set of NFC cards that lead directly to settings and device configuration. The back of the card contains the step by step instructions related to the task. By putting the cards into the OBD boxes Orange can reduce the burden on customer support and also migrate user segments in to the smart phone market.

 

The concept can also be used to promote and improve the discoverability of products giving them an edge over hundreds if not thousands of competitors.
